Non-profit ‘Give Me Water Lord’ transforming lives in Kenya through clean water and food
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — One non-profit is working to help people in Kenya get access to food and drinkable water.
The non-profit “Give me water lord” was started by Vic Hamer.
Hamer says drilling well is costly and they must drill at least 300 feet through granite and build a protective housing around it.
“The water they find is always very polluted, it’s very dirty,” says Hamer. “But it’s their only water, so if they can get a well project, it’s a life changer for them, it will improve their life.”
The organization also provides food and sometimes small livestock.
All donations go directly to help the people of Kenya.
